Integrity first, service before self, and excellence in all we do. This is my life.
Is it a strange thought to want to live a life of service? I guess it depends on who you serve, or what you serve for. I'll never forget the promise I made, the oath that dictated that my life would be different from that moment on.
I, Joshua Michael Foley, do solemnly swear that I will support and
defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies,
foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the
same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United
States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to
regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God.
Some people think that I'm no longer free, but they couldn't be more wrong. I chose this life. It was my freedom to choose that! I wouldn't even bother doing something else, because in our endeavor to escape our destiny we inevitably find our fate.
